GUILHERME EUSTÁQUIO FURTADO
Guilherme Eustáquio Furtado holds a Ph.D. in Sports Science, specializing in Physical Activity and Health, from the University of Coimbra (FCDEF-UC). He has extensive experience in exercise programs for geriatric populations and clinical/special subgroups. Currently, he is a researcher at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC). He is also a collaborative researcher at CERNAS – Research Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society, within the Environment and Society Research Group, with interests in Sustainability and Social Responsibility. Additionally, he is a member of SPRINT - Sports Science, Physical Activity, Health and Innovation Research Center, where he leads the sub-research group on exercise in clinical and special conditions within the Physical Activity and Sustainable Communities Research Group. His research interests include Active and Sustainable Urban Mobility, Green-Outdoor Physical Activity, Sustainable Sports Facilities, Sustainable Personalized Diets and Exercise, Eco-Active Communities, Health-Tech for Well-being, Exercise-Pharma Synergy in Chronic Disease and Act-healthy Aging, Longevity, and Sustainability.
