Rui Miguel Duarte Paulo is an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco IPCB) since 2008, and is dedicated to research and teaching motor behavior, training, with special focus on physical activity and health. He has a BSc in Physical Education from the IPCB 2004), a MSc. degree in physical Activity from the IPCB 2010), and a PhD in Sports Sciences from the University of Beira Interior UBI) 2014). He served as Coordinator of the formation of Football and Futsal clubs and was a football and futsal coach in various clubs and contexts. He currently performs several roles at IPCB: coordinator of the Degree in Sport and Physical Activity, member of the scientific committee of the Masters in Physical Activity, coordinator of IPCB Sport and member of the Scientific Council of the Higher School of Education. Rui collaborates as a teacher in the Portuguese Football Federations coaching courses at the Castelo Branco Football Association. He is also Technical Director of the D. R. Retaxo Association futsal), in the second national division. His involvement as a researcher and development projects secured funding 90K) and contributed to scientific publications more than 30 articles indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science). His research focuses on methodological approaches to studying the determinants of motor behavior in training, physical activity and health. He has disseminated scientific knowledge through oral presentations and conferences at international and national congresses. From a methodological point of view, he supervises doctoral and masters degrees, with students from various universities and polytechnic institutes.
