HELENA ISABEL LUDOVINO FERREIRA BARBOSA
Helena Ferreira Barbosa completed her PhD in 2021 at the University of Seville, Spain. She has been a professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, Department of Arts, Humanities and Sport, since 2015. Currently, she has been an Invited Associate Professor at the same institution since 2022. She has been an integrated researcher at the Sport Physical activity and health Research & INovation cenTer SPRINT) since 2023. She has also worked as an instructor in group classes, cardio fitness and weight training and as a personal trainer in a fitness centre. She specialises in Medical and Health Sciences, with an emphasis on Sports Sciences. Throughout her career, she has participated in the production of several books and chapters in both national and international works. Among his main contributions are publications dealing with the relationship between the quality of fitness instructors and customer satisfaction, as well as analysing the influence of fitness apps on customer retention. She has published several articles in specialised journals. She is a researcher on two projects. Her vast scientific output reflects a strong commitment to the development of knowledge in the fitness and physical activity sector, contributing significantly to the advancement of this area at an academic and professional level.
